    Because I love food.

    What are your specialities?

My 2 are the Italian pesto lasagna, or this yummy Catalan (region of Spain) dish made with chicken and prunes. Mmmmmmmm.

We make the best cracked-out mac & cheese.
It starts with a cheese sauce made from a good artisan cheese, chicken broth (or bouillon) & evaporated milk (and flour and butter and pepper), and then we add chicken, bacon, and caramelized onions.

    Oh, and some pasta.

I have only ever eaten mac & cheese from a box. Didn't like it much. :/ I imagine home-made might be tasty though!

Mmm. Sometimes T. makes for me banana-milk-honey slushies, sometimes with protein powder. Delish!

    ~Lyn, can't spell banana.

Mmmm. The other day I made chocolate covered strawberries just for myself (kind of sad, I know) but it was AWESOME.

So, stew. I can't make it. Well I probably could, but it takes too much time and I am a hungry ex-student who wants to eat NOW!

    Easy Cassarole:

I love this cus it goes well with any meat veg combo

    1 cup rice
1 can diced tomatoes drained juice reserved
    2 cups vegetables
    meat
    granulated garlic
    pepper
    other herbs to taste
Soy sauce/Worcestershire sauce or Maggie seasoning

Put the rice in a pan, layer on the tomatoes and vegetables then place meat on top. Sprinkle garlic, pepper and other herbs on top. Add water to the tomato juice to make 2 cups of liquid. add in a few dashes of the Soy sauce/Worcestershire sauce or Maggie seasoning. Pour over the meat cover with foil and bake 45 min to an hour or until meat and rice are cooked and liquid is absorbed.

    Just like Cake Meatloaf

    Measurements not precise:

    1 lb of lean hamburger
    3 large carrots shredded
    4 ribs of celery shredded
    1 large onion shredded
    2 eggs
    Garlic to taste
    dash of pepper
    dash of seasoning salt
    about 1 tsp basil leaves
2 squares of beef flavoring dissolved in a little bit of water (I use McCormick)
    Bread crumbs

Toss everything in a Large bowl and mix thoroughly. Slowly add the bread crumbs a half cup at a time till the mixture is firm and not sticky wet anymore. Put in loaf pans and bake at 375 f until a meat thermometer reads 175 f or 77 c. let sit a few moments then slice for the softest, moistest meatloaf you have ever tasted. Great hot or cold the next day in a sandwich

for all the people with kids and/or a no sugar added diets...

Fresh ripe and overripe fruit, can be any kind that you would like/can get your hands on. Wash and chop large fruit roughly, remove any pits or seed.

Toss it all in the food processor or blender puree it as finely as possible (This is where the overripe part comes in extra juice means no extra water) Pour in Popsicle molds and freeze simple. easy. done.

Woah! I should print these off and make my brother cook for me (since I made dinner the last few nights)!

    Thanks!

We make something a lot like the "Easy Casserole" in a fry pan - add some chilis and use a ground beef or sausage as the meat and it becomes Spanish Rice!

We got really good at improvisational cooking with few ingredients during our "dirt poor" stage (and by "we" I mean "my husband.")

It really does! We got really good with using condiments to make boring meals exciting, and rearranging the same ingredients 15 different ways.
