As you may now, I am planning a sequel to be launched April/May hopefully....

But that's it - I'm just in the planning stages, still. I have a rough overview of ideas, but I'm curious to hear about what you'd like to see more of.

There may also be an interlude between the books - an exterlude if you will - into the history of a certain character. Nothing certain yet though.

Also if anyone can think of a good title for the sequel?

Is that a new title or a subtitle? Above Ground: AMAGAWD SEQUEL, etc?
I'd really get a kick out of that being the title for some reason... xD

Have to admit I'm not good at titles, plus we (the reader) don't truly know the context the next book will be in, I mean I can make assumptions but I can't be sure.

The internet, it's inspiring but equally distracting.

Subtitle, title, same difference. AMAGAWD SEQUEL has potential. :-D Maybe I'll use it as the stand-in subtitle until I can think of something better.

Good point on the context thing. I keep forgetting people don't live in my brain.

Well, if there's any kind of thing you'd like to learn more about....?

Or you could just speculate madly on what will happen and I can smile mysteriously.

I'm not much chop at this sort of stuff, I tend to be derivative, with little imagination.

Anyway, all I've thought of is "Below Sky".

See, nil imagination, totally derivative. :o)

Hah, I actually thought of Below Sky as well, xD (I used to make the damned 'What's up? - The Sky' joke all the damned time, terrible I know).

How about 'Infected'? Not in a literal sense, more relating to Lilith's mind set and how I'd see her reacting if she does manage to get over to the Guild. AKA, screaming her head of and calling herself a freak o' nature.
Am I selling her a bit short? :D

I make the "What's up? - The sky" joke all the time! Except I say "the ceiling" if I'm indoors. ;-)

@eSpyre I like how you think - it has set some ideas churning.

Note to self: Book 2 must have Lilith screaming her head off and calling herself a freak of nature.

    Any other requests?

Well I'm glad I've given you some ideas. I would like to see Lilith get over her strange paranoia, she seems to trust complete strangers more than people she actually gets to know. What does she think, that people trying to get close to her always have ulterior motives, and that a random stranger does not? Ah well, she needs some flaws I suppose!

Oh I don't know, 'Missing (a) Stranger'? Referring to a certain missing father... ;)
(Also, STRANGER DANGER xD - Just for what I was talking about before)
Strange Love in Strange Places - Yeah going with teh strange... xD also I'm tempted to use this myself sometime...

Oh and I hope some others start posting here too! Otherwise I'll get what I want and nobody else will :3

Lilith has a history of having people she knows well betray her. Or betray her in her mind. :-P

My brother wrote a song called Strange Love actually.

Regarding getting what you want - a few people who braved the crossword puzzle found a special surprise waiting for them....

Heh I did google it immediately, plenty of 'love in strange places' but no strange love in... ^^
And now I wish I'd made an effort at the crosswords, assumed they'd have been filled out 10+ times by the time I'd seen you'd updated.
Not to mention my hazy memory is not good at that sort of thing.

Actually I think it wasn't filled out 10+ times... People, it seems, are afraid of words.

As far as I can see, there have only been 6 replies. I cant think of anything to add to that special list just yet.

Was wondering what your current plans were with book 2, and a bit with book 1.
Are you going to upload the last few chapters of book 1 at the end of march? Assuming you recieved enough things to put up each tuesday (sorry that sound a bit negative).

Woo can edit this time :D
For a title, how about 'Going Underground'?
Or perhaps 'Going to Ground' for a different meaning.

Although I'm not sure putting 'ground' in the subtitle for Above Ground is a good idea (if indeed it is a subtitle).

I am going to hopefully upload the next few chapters by the end of next week -- I want the hiatus to fall between books, not in the middle!

I didn't really get anything (mew) but I don't want to start posting Book 2 until I can give you guys a more regular update schedule. Ideally I'd like to write 6-10 chapters before I start posting again so I get a bit of a breather!

On the cards for the moment is an exterlude between the two books delving into Rae's past. I've sketched out a rough plan for it at the moment. :-)

    That sounds good.

What about some more teasers concerning Vera too.
That is to say, tell us some more snippets without giving anything away (much as I'd really like you to let us know what the full story is).

Will book 2 find Lilith headed for the Guild? In which case, will Vera's issue be somewhat resolved?
Will Lilith help the pack in their fight against the witches, once she gets a little training in her abilities?
Will we hear any more from those below ground?

Sigh, you probably can't answer any of theses questions!

I could do a Vera bonus story perhaps... Vera's problems aren't as central to Lilith's story which is why they havent been explored.

And, err... no comment on any of the other questions! :-P

I was very tempted to request something on Vera before, but it seems she may turn up again soon.

Hmm. Not really, she doesn't.... It's a whole different knot of problems there!

    Hmmm;
    Above Ground: Divides
Above Ground: Assumptions & Accusations (Aka, Lilith... :D)
    Above Ground: Generations
Above Ground: Acceptance (That'll be the day...)
    Above Ground: Empire
    Above Ground: Mind Games
Above Ground: Apart of the Crowd (intentional ~~)
    Above Ground: An Eductation
    Above Ground: Home?
    Above Ground: Caged
Above Ground: One Man Band (something like that anyway, trying to get across the idea of Lilith being focused on herself, rather than going AMG MENI INFECTEDZ, and y'know Affected Parade...)

If we were working with Under Ground, I'd totally go for Caves within Cages.
Hmm, enough subtitles from a tired mind? Hmm, xxxx From a Tired Mind. I like that... ~~

Hope you can do something with this little lot ;)

Woah eSpyre that's quite a list you got going there! I particularly liked your commentary on the side!

I like the word "divides", that one is interesting to play around with. "Mind Games" would kind of fit... but maybe less subtle?

So far all I've come up with is:
    Above Ground - Only Alive
    Above Ground - No Regrets

I'm also trying to think up names for the Guild people... We have the O'Teels, like Bryan and Angus, who are telepaths (read minds). What about O'names for empaths (read emotions)? Hrm.
