iPhone 4 Cases: Heavy dutyiphone 5 case protection, and more Verizon case
When you design a smartphone that’s encased in glass, there will naturally be concerns about the durability of said phone. Though theipad 2 silicone cases has, by most accounts, held up perfectly fine despite its glassy nature, there seems to be increasing demand for heavy-duty cases that can quite literally turn the iPhone 4 into a wall-piercing projectile. In non-military-grade case-related news, more and more manufacturers are releasing Verizonipad 2 keyboard casescompatible models—no big surprise there—and beautiful, carved wooden cases seem to be making a comeback. Read on for this week’s scoop on new iPhone 4 cases

Might be better to wait till The Guild is more formally introduced in the second book though.

yus it does! it hasn't really been explained yet to be fair, i just assume everyone knows how my mind works :-P

initiate = trainee, lowest of the low, equivalent to a witch apprentice
first rank = 1 filled in diamond tattoo
first rank initiate = 1 filled in diamond tattoo + an outline of a second one
second rank = 2 filled in tattoos
second rank initiate = 2 filled in tattoos + and outline of a third

.............and so on until seventh rank.

Someone with all 7 would have a design kind of like this on their face (except the diamonds would be upright instead of sideways, and the bottom row would be centered):

Haha your last comment made me think of something that would make you cringe.

Re: Guild, do you really thing it would be that bad if they weren't organized by type? After all, witches each have their own skillz and yet the covens are structured around hierarchy/rank as opposed to kind of power.

I still would like last names that relate to mind powers like O'Teel, because these kinds of powers would run in the family and I'd expect a lot of people at the Guild to be distantly related to each other / share the same last name.

MUAHAHAHAHAHAA.........

Well I do have large bits of future episodes written, so it may be less time than that. Basically if I ever manage to finish an episode way ahead of time (e.g. if I get Episodes 03 and 04 written before 03 is due to post) then I'll post early ;-)

Not likely to happen with these first few eps as I'm writing them all from scratch, but with the later ones that I've already half-written it could happen!

For future plot points? Well I assume Maeve doesn't go splat on the ground after falling off the bridge. That'd be anti-climatic. Although I'd then see her joining the ranks of the undead, Ooo spooky.

I did wonder, wasn't the person who made the floor boards creak above Maeves' room kinda dead? And yet it still creaked. :) Of course it wasn't really clear what floor poor Edward was on. OTOH, if he wasn't the pacing person, then we have pacing person to be confronted later.

Oh and then we have Tom, wondering what was wrong with Maeve when she A) was the only one to survive some bizarre tube incident. B) saw people who aren't there. And C) Then proceeded to try and jump off a bridge, and insist her name was Julia.
Plus she actually fell off the bridge, so assuming she doesn't die horribly he'll have to wonder how she didn't.

I miss anything? Or am I horribly off the mark.

Oh I suppose knowing you, some TomxMaeve (or mysterious winged fellowxMaeve :P) smut aaand... lessee... I guess Cathi can make a return, probably not a smutty one though, that could be awkward.

Also soon to die old lady, mustn't forget, I mean Maeve is seeing dead people afterall.

Oh btw I'm thinking of ditching the whole naming system and just make it that Angus and Bryan are distantly related (which is why they share the same last name). Makes it a lot easier if I don't need to make up categories of mind powers and just go with the flow!!

:-D simple is best.

Important announcement regarding the reward system: I have decided to discontinue cookie counting.

Why?
• Few use their cookies
It's only ever the usual suspects making use of the rewards available. I had hoped the topic tag system would solve this, but it doesn't seem to be working. I then added in an expiry date for cookies, but that hasn't influenced matters either.

• It takes too much time
I keep track of cookie counts manually using an excel document which has all these fancy equations built in, but it still takes a lot of time and energy to keep track of all the different ways people can earn points. I'm not tech savvy enough to implement a better system, and considering how few use their cookies anyway, it doesn't seem worth the time.

• It's hard to keep an accurate account
If (as has happened recently) I'm off line for any length of time, I fall behind on counting and there is no way to make sure I catch every detail. It doesn't seem efficient to have a system so reliable on my online presence.

What happens now?
If you have cookies (you can check here), you can still spend them as before requesting topic tags, character questions, etc. You cannot however earn any more.

Future rewards system?
I am thinking of developing the qazyagent section -- thereby offering time-sensitive rewards in exchange for reader participation in some way. Suggestions for development in this area are most welcome!

Ha! Well, they *are* your cookies to spend so feel free to email me about it -- if you want topic tags, I shall see what I can do about writing them without spoiling things! It was more I didn't think people would be interested yet as there's so little up.

Pssh Lucifer is too busy to visit my story.

Topic tags and character interviews.. I imagine would wait a little until there's more posted?

Yes, I think the world-building is much more complete for DarkSight. Yet another reason why there's a slower update schedule -- so I keep things more consistent and researched!

I'm sure you'll somehow manage to miss a deadline. :D
Is your world building a bit more complete for this one than it was (is?) for Above Ground?
Are you going to let us ask awkward questions (topic tags, character interviews etc) about darksight too?
On comparisons, I don't know... seeing the dead is a more common theme than seeing, specifically, demons. (and you are being awfully specific about it)

Winged fellow is a relative and or stalker ;( - The wings were feathery? Now we have a whole new kettle of fish. One would assume she's not just seeing demons then. :) Unless it's like Lucifer or something... :|

What do you think? Any guesses? Thoughts? Comparisons?

Have you seen the little bit of info on the wiki, too?

I know a monthly update schedule is SLOW but I want to turn out something a little more polished than Above Ground, which equals more work. So, we'll see how it goes... at least this way I know I won't miss the first few deadlines!

Sounds like Lilith is a giver ;D

Is the kinetic stuff important later? I'd put it under 'Giver' though, I mean if you assume those would be people who can project their own energy or what have you around, rather than comprehending what they're recieving.
Makes the giving types kinda more literally powerful.

Hmm, you could break the kinetic powers down. Recievers can pull, Givers can push and so on?
Perhaps that means you'd need one of both to lift something for example :P

Roles -- that's an interesting idea.

Skills-wise this is what I thought so far (there are two main "schools" -- those who give, and those who receive):

Receivers
-Able to read thoughts
-Able to sense animal emotions (actual animals, not affected)
-Able to see across distances through the eyes of another person
-See people's future / past / etc

Givers
-Able to project thoughts
-Able to project emotions into animals
-Able to force others to see through their eyes
-Make others see their future / past / etc

That's the kind of vein I was going for... Sadly the kinetic stuff doesn't really fit into this giving/receiving model. Hrm.
